INFLUENCIA DEL GASTO PÚBLICO EN EL CRECIMIENTO ECONÓMICO Y EL DESARROLLO ECONÓMICO: UN ANÁLISIS EN LOS MUNICIPIOS DE SANTA CATARINA

Resumen

Este estudio tiene como objetivo analizar la influencia del gasto público en el crecimiento económico y el desarrollo en los municipios de Santa Catarina. La muestra consistió en 291 municipios entre 2013 y 2016 y se analizó utilizando modelos de paneles multivariados. Los resultados muestran que solo el gasto corriente total está (negativamente) relacionado con el cambio en el producto interno bruto. El Índice Firjan de Desenvolvimento Municipal (IFDM) está relacionado negativamente con el gasto en educación y el gasto corriente total. Además, IFDM está positivamente relacionado con el gasto en urbanismo y vivienda, así como con el número de habitantes.
