ANÁLISIS DE PRODUCTIVIDAD Y EFICIENCIA DE LAS MIPYMES EN MÉXICO

Resumen

El objetivo de este trabajo es estimar empíricamente la eficiencia y productividad de las MIPYMES en México, mediante la medición del impacto que el monto de créditos otorgado por bancos y el número de trabajadores en las MIPYMES tienen sobre el PIB que generan en el país. Para ello, se utiliza una función de producción NHPF doble logarítmica con información anual considerando como fundamento teórico de este enfoque el argumento del "dinero como insumo en la función de producción". Los resultados indican una productividad (elasticidad de salida) del trabajo positiva; la productividad del crédito bancario fue positiva, aunque menor a la unidad, y la eficiencia mejoró con retornos a escala de 1.54 a 1.65. Esto implica una mejora en la eficiencia de escala en las MIPYMES en México, principalmente debido al aumento de productividad de la fuerza laboral; aunque resulta insuficiente al considerar que ésta es requerida cada vez con mayores competencias.
